How I make my class interesting!

As an English teacher, I always make my class interesting by getting the students to participate or interact during my English language class. I use strategies that don’t conform to the conventional method of teaching. Meaning, instead of giving lectures in classroom which makes students passive listeners, I use multimedia learning approach using images, audio and other teaching resources for effective teaching and learning.

In order to make also my English classes very dynamic and high motivated, I need to make my own students love English language. My students should be interested while I am teaching them and to improve their skills in English.

Moreover, I always begin with motivated language exercises that help my students more familiar with words, grammar rules or writing skills. It can be a simple game, tongue twisters or a song with catchy tunes. I encourage students to participate in various pairs and group activities and cooperate with each other such as role play, conversation, pair and group activities and interviews. These would expose them to improve their speaking skills and to be more confident in using English language as they stay here in Singapore and other countries.
